MENDHAR, Apr 28: Two police men were attached after theft took place at a Gurdwara in Mankote area of Mendhar last night.
Police sources said that some thieves broke into the Gurdwara Singh Sabha at Mankote and decamped with donation box. The priest came to know about the matter in the morning and reported the matter to police. He said there was more than Rs one lakh donation money in it. Two cops Gurmeet Singh and Swarn Singh deployed at Gurdwara were not there at Gurdwara last night.
The police registered a case in this connection and started investigation. The SDPO Mendhar, Shahid Nahiem said that both the cops have been attached. An inquiry against him has also been initiated.
