Theft case worked out within 24 hours: Police

JAMMU, Mar 16: Police in Nagrota area here today claimed to have worked out a theft case within 24 hours of the registration of the crime.
A police spokesperson said that on March 15, 2024, one Noorani of Dhok Waziran, Nagrota produced a written application in Police Station alleging therein that one Anayat Ali of Dansal Jammu has stolen one of his mares.
On receiving the complaint, he said a case FIR number 90/2024 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation taken up.
Accordingly, the police spokesperson said that a party of Police Station Nagrota led by Inspector Rajeshwar singh, SHO Nagrota, assisted by PSI Mashkoor Ahmed, arrested the accused person and recovered the stolen mare valued about Rs 48000 from his possession.
