Theft case solved; 5 arrested with stolen property

RAMBAN, Jan 11: Police solved a theft case with the arrest of five accused with stolen property.
As per police sources, on January 8 this year, a written application was lodged at Police Station Ramban by a man namely Umar Shameem Ronyal, son of Mohammad Shameem of Maligam Pogal Tehsil Ukharal, at present Govindpura Maitra stating that during intervening night of 7 and 8 January, thieves have stolen 19 bundles of iron rods near from his house.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 06/2022 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Ramban led by SHO Inspector Sandeep Charak was constituted under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
After hectic efforts, the team solved the theft case by arresting five thieves along with stolen property.
The arrested persons were identified as Khursheed Ahmed, son of Billa Gujar of Billowat Poni District Ramban, Reyaz Ahmed, son of Gulab Din of Batti Maitra District Ramban, Mohammad Irfan, son of Nizam Ud Din of Maitra District Ramban, Yasir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Shafi Sheikh of Karole Kundi District Ramban and Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Yousif Khan of Tatarsoo District Ramban.
Further questioning of the arrested persons is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
