Talking to reporters at the sidelines of a function at Rajinder Pura, the native village of Brig Rajinder Singh who along with other Armymen laid down his life to stop Pak invaders for two days from entering Srinagar in October 1947, Dr Singh said Pakistan has lost four wars with India already and it understands better what will be the result of proxy war unleashed by it against India in J&K and it will prove counter productive for her also. He warned that Pakistan will never succeed in its designs and will be given a befitting reply.
He said Pakistan has no courage to stand before India so it encourages cross border terrorism. “But the neighbouring country will never succeed in its vicious designs as our forces are ready and they are giving a befitting reply to enemy. If Pak kills our one man we kill their ten as our forces are alert to deal with any eventuality”, he added.
Making a scathing attack on National Conference (NC) and Congress for raising fingers on coalition and challenging the patriotism of BJP, he said it is Omar Abdullah’s party and former Chief Minister of J&K Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah who was responsible for Kashmir situation and Omar Abdullah has no right of raising fingers on BJP.
He criticised the opposition parties NC and Congress for shedding crocodile tears on plight of border people and accusing Government of not creating proper facilities and making arrangements for their welfare.
“These parties have no issue hence they unnecessarily rake up issue of border people”, he said, adding soon after the Uri attack and surgical strikes he along with other ministers, legislators and administration visited border areas and took stock of the situation there. “I gave personnel instructions to authorities to ensure all facilities to border people”, he added.
He said NC, Congress today even raise questions that no surgical strikes were made and this way they are challenging our patriotism. “Even today we are conducting a meeting on the border situation and arrangements for border people are the main issue on agenda”, he added.

This great son of soil was the saviour of Kashmir and he not only created history but also changed geography of the State.
