KATHUA, May 23: The silent protest dharna of terminated paramedical staff entered in 53rd day in support of their demands here, today.
Braving the scorching heat, the terminated paramedical staff selected under SRO 24 continue their silent protest in the premises of Medical College Hospital Kathua is support of their demands to get extension to continue their job. The protestors alleged that their silent protest dharna has entered in 53rd day . “We are fighting for last 52 days to get justice from Government. But unfortunately no one from Hospital authorities and no one from the Government comes to listen our problems”. The authorities are adopting use and throw policy”, they added.
They alleged that the discriminative attitude with Jammuites has not ended as it still continues. The Kashmir based contractual paramedical staff is continuing their services but the Jammu based youth were thrown out after one year. When numbers of post are lying vacant in Government Medical College Kathua, then why the contractual employees are not absorbed against these posts. They appealed to the LG to take the matter personally and issue order of extension letter to continue the works in such tough time to fight against Corona virus.
