Temporary teachers stage protest, demand continuation of services

JAMMU, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir Temporary Teachers’ Association (JKTTA) today staged a protest dharna here in front of Press Club demanding continuation of their services.
A large number of temporary teachers under the banner of JKTTA assembled today in front of Press Club Jammu and staged a protest dharna. They raised slogans against the Government for its failure to settle their burning issue.
While speaking on the occasion, one of the teachers said that they had discussed their genuine issue with the Education Minister, Nayeem Akther and Finance Minister, Haseeb Dhrabu, who also had responded positively and assured for early settlement of their demand. But till date no progress in this regard has been visible, he regretted, adding the time period given to the Government to settle their demand has also ended on May 15.
Reiterating their demand of continuation of their services, the protesting teachers warned the Government of launching demonstrations all over the State if their demand is not met soon.
The protestors urged all the human heart leaders to support their issue and pressed the Government to fulfill their demand and save their future from darkness.
