JAMMU, Nov 16:  Demanding continuation of their service, the temporary teachers of last year held a strong protest demonstration here today.
The protest demonstration was held under the banner of J&K Temporary Teachers Association-2014, Jammu. Led by divisional president of the Association, Balwinder Singh Pawar, the protesting temporary teachers raised slogans against the Government and in support of their demand. They were also carrying banners and placards with slogans for continuation of their service.
While addressing the demonstration, Balwinder Singh described the State Government as anti-youth, which has totally failed to solve the problems of unemployed educated youth. He also vowed to continue the ongoing struggle till logical conclusion and appealed the temporary teachers to remain united.
The protest demonstration was also addressed by Bhopinder Choudhary, district president Samba, Vicky Saini, Hardev, Ashwani, Harpal, Deepak, Sapna, Asha, Nisha and Sushma.
It may be recalled that these temporary teachers have been struggling for continuation of their services since March 2015. They had also gone for forty-three days long chain hunger strike in the month of March-April.
