Temple burglary case solved within 6 hrs

REASI, Apr 22: Katra police today claimed to have solved the theft case at Aghar Jitto Temple within 6 hours of its occurrence.
According to a police official, a priest of Aghar Jitto Temple lodged a written complaint at police station Katra that during the intervening night of April 21 and 22 some thieves broke the lock of temple and stole a donation box.
He said on registration of the complaint, a special team of Katra police headed by Sub Inspector Joginder Singh was constituted to arrest the thieves and recover the stolen property. “The special team swung into action and arrested some suspects,” he said, adding during the interrogation two persons Love Sharma son of Bua Ditta, resident of Agharjitto and Rohit Sharma son of Narayan Dutt, resident of Aghar Jitto, confessed their involvement in burglary.
“Both the accused has been arrested and stolen cash worth Rs 42,132 recovered from their possession,” the official said, adding a case FIR No 95/2019 under Section 457/380 RPC has been registered at police station Katra.
The arrest and recovery are made by SHO, police station Katra, Inspector Pardeep Gupta with assistance of Sub Inspector Joginder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Katra, Vivek Shekhar, ASP Katra, Naresh Singh and SSP Reasi Nisha Nathyal.
