LUCKNOW: Country’s high speed express train ‘Tejas’will start running from Lucknow to  Anand Vihar, near Delhi, stations from April this year.

Coaches of Tejas are almost ready in Kapoorthala Rail Coach Factory(RFC) and passengers will enjoy the ride of the train from April this year. For the fiscal year 2016-17, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu had announced three new special trains Antoday, Hamsafar and Tejas.

The schedule for Tejas was released by Railway Board in October in its railway time table and was waiting for the approval of the minister for the exact date of inauguration. Tejas train with 200 km per hour speed will have 22 new facilities for the passengers including LCD monitors behind seats, Wi-Fi facility and special catering menu prepared by famous chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Though it’s fare will be slightly high as compare to Shatabdi train.

According to the schedule of Tejas announced in October, the train will run six days a week except Thursdays and will have one stoppage at Kanpur between Anand Vihar and Lucknow stations. (AGENCIES)
