SRINAGAR, May 7: Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) today arrested Tehsildar Territorial Pulwama and Junior Assistant of the tehsil office Pulwama for demanding and accepting bribe.
Ghulam Mohammad Dar, Junior Assistant posted in Tehsil Office Pulwama, was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant for onward handing over the amount to Tehsildar Territorial Pulwama in connection with releasing of seized documents of a vehicle (Tipper).
Accordingly a case FIR number 14/2014 P/S VOK under 5(2) PC Act svt 2006 and 161 RPC was registered and the culprits were lodged in Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir.
The trap team was led by Vigilance Officer Abdul Rashid Khan of VOK.
