RAJOURI, Sept 13: Tehsildar (T) Rajouri has clarified that no allotment of land has been made on the name of one Parveen Sudan as reported in a section of Press and no cancellation of land allotment order has taken place under his jurisdiction in Rajouri district.
While clarifying a report appeared in this paper on  Sept Ist, 2012, Tehsildar said that no tempering of land record has taken place as reported.  He said the land in question was still in intact in the possession of the allottees. He said 21 kanal land was allotted to one Devi Dass/ son of Gokal Chand who was refugee of 1947  vide Cabinet order No 578/c of 1954. The said allotment was made in 1954-55 and is still intact. In the year 1985 under Agrarian Reforms Act,  some documents were illegally attested in favour Jagdish Raj and Benti Devi and the same were challenged in the court by the actual allottees and were cancelled by the Addl Deputy Commissioner Rajouri in an appeal filed by actual owners. The case was later sent back to Tehsildar to hold fresh inquiry. Tehsildar said he was no more in picture and he had no authority to cancel the allotment. He maintained that protest took place at Bathooni on that day but the facts reported in the paper were not factual.
