KARGIL, Aug 21: Tehsil Legal Service Committee, Kargil, under the chairmanship of chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil, Mahmud Anwar Alnasir, organized a Legal Awareness Camp on `Welfare Schemes for Tribal and Rights of Tribals’ at Sub-Division Drass.
M Pandey, Deputy Commandant of 56 Mountain Brigade Drass, was the special guest on the occasion. Various Heads of Department of district Kargil, like Department of Social Welfare, Fisheries, Handloom, heads of Block offices, including SDM Drass Barkat Ali Lone, BMO, BDO, AEO, Nambardars, Sarpanches, and Anganwari workers took part in the programme.
Mahmud Anwar Alnasir emphasized on being aware of the welfare schemes and rights so as to avail the same. M Pandey expressed hope that such a programme would help the people.
PP Kargil, Kachoo Manzoor Ali Khan anchored the programme while Tsewang Phuntsog, Munsif JMIC Sankoo gave vote of thanks.
