JAMMU, Aug 24: A teenage girl has been raped by her neighbour in Parade Gorda area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gharota police station.
As per police sources, a minor girl hailing from Parade Gorda area of Gharota was raped by Sat Pal, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of same area. He threatened the girl of dire consequences, if she revealed the episode to any one.
The girl narrated the ordeal to her parents, who lodged a complaint with police station Gharota against the accused.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 51/16 under Section 376 RPC has been registered at Gharota police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the rapist.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
