JAMMU, Feb 27: A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide, while two others made abortive attempts by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per reports, 19-year-old Arti Badyal, daughter of Pappu, a resident of village Nougran, Bishnah allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence yesterday.
Noticing her unconscious, family members rushed her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last today.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Anil Kumar, son of Joginder Kumar of Belicharana consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
In another incident, 27-year-old Jeet Pal, son of Bahadur Singh of Gole Gujral made an abortive attempt to his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
Family members rushed him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was responding to the treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Cases have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme steps.
