REASI, Oct 18: A tearful adieu was accorded to the martyr, Kamal Kishore, SOG jawan of the State Police here today, who attained supreme sacrifice while fighting with the militants in Srinagar on Wednesday.
Wrapped in tri-colour his mortal remains, laden with flowers and kept in a coffin, were mounted on a decorated police vehicle and his last rites were performed with full Police honours. A large number of people from all walks of life including top officers in the District Administration took part in the funeral of the martyr, Kamal Kishore from Gran Morh village up to Chenab bank.

The `mortal remains’ of the Constable, Kamal Kishore, reached his home village , Gran Morh in Reasi last evening. SSP Reasi, Nisha Nathyal, Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramaswamy and several other district level officers, family members and relatives received the body of the martyr.
A pall of gloom descended the Reasi town after the mortal remains of the brave jawan wrapped in National flag and laden with the flowers arrived at the town in special police vehicle from Srinagar. After wreath laying ceremony, the body was brought to his home village Gran Morh on Reasi-Jyotipuran Road late in the evening.
Kamal was serving in IRP 6th Battalion and was deployed with SOG Kashmir, few months back. His elder brother is also serving in J&K Police while sister in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). It is pertinent to mention here that this brave Reasi boy, attained supreme sacrifice while fighting with the militants in Srinagar city on Oct 17, where security forces achieved major success in killing three militants.
