REASI, Nov 17: SDM Dharmari has ordered stoppage of salary of three Government teachers, who had not filled up examination forms of two students of class 10th for regular examination.
Further, the erring teachers have been asked to teach these students and help them in appearing for class 10th private/bi-annual examination scheduled to be held in March next.
Reports said that a complaint was received from locals of village Lancha in Dharmari Sub-division of Reasi district regarding these three school teachers namely Mohd Iqbal, Mohd Ashraf and Mustafa Ali, who had not fulfilled their responsibility of filling up the examination forms of two students for class 10th regular examination.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, SDM Dharmari, Faz-Lul-Haseeb called these teachers to explain their position at his office today. On enquiry, it was revealed the students missed the examination because of the error committed by the teachers who were apologetic and promised to rectify the mistake.
In view of this, the SDM passed an order for withholding salary of these erring teachers till further direction from his office. Besides getting direction to help these students in appearing for private/bi-annual exams, these erring teachers were also asked to report to SDM office on December 17, 2020 about the progress made in this regard.
