UDHAMPUR, Jan 25: District Udhampur unit of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum has appealed Governor N N Vohra to personally look into the Government order on detachments and ensure that the same is not implemented till the academic session is over.
The appeal was made during a meeting of the Forum, held under the chairmanship of district president Surinder Sharma.
The meet observed that the implementation of order on detachments at this time will badly affect the teaching-learning process of the students and result percentage. There, the Governor N N Vohra should personally look into the matter and ensure that the order is not implemented till the ongoing session is over, the Forum said and also demanded that the genuine cases of attachment/ deployment on medical ground, security reasons and need basis should be positively considered.
The Forum also demanded adjustment of the surplus Master, repatriated from the other districts to their home district after completion of tenure, release of 17 percent DA, 4th installment of 6th Pay Commission arrear, release of Mid Day Meal grant, salary of teachers under SSA and RMSA, etc.
