RAJOURI, May 18: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum held a convention at Dak Bungalow here where State general secretary JKTF Ganesh Khajuria was the chief guest.
On the occasion, Ganesh Khajuria reconstituted the district body by assigning the task of president and senior vice-president to Vinod Sharma and Sabbar Choudhary, respectively and asked them to frame zonal level body on their own.
More than 150 members of JKTF including Lecturers, Head Masters, Masters and Teachers participated in the convention, which was organized to brace up the Forum to fight for the genuine demands like streamlining of SSA, RMSA salaries, removable of pay anomalies of different cadres, to hold DPC of all cadres in Education Department, announcement of medical allowance from 300 to minimum thousand and other burning issues of teaching community.
Prominent among those who were present in the meeting, included Mohd. Iqbal, Darshan Sharma, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Shayam Badyal, Haqeeqat Singh, Pritpal Singh and others.
