Teachers Federation demands impartial inquiry into Kishtwar DC office ransacking case

JAMMU, Apr 29: An emergency meeting of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation was held under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh for condemning the action of the District Administration Kishtwar, which ordered suspension of two employees without holding any enquiry into the ransacking incident at DC office Kishtwar.
The meet, chaired by State president Dev Raj Thakur, expressed serious concern over selective killings of four persons including three employees in Kishtwar district by the militants during the past six months and the failure of the District administration to book and arrest the militants involved in the crime.
The meet observed that the employees in the entire area are in fear and confusion due to these selective killings and the District administration is failed to ensure the security of the employees working in the District. “The people in Kishtwar, including the employees, are not feeling themselves safe even in home . They can’t even go to the market , send their children to Schools, attend social functions and even sleep well in their home .The District Administration completely failed to take the appropriate measures to resolve issues honestly and sincerely and even failed to win the faith of the minority community who are under fear from the anti- national elements,” the members said .
While referring about the violence triggered by some miscreants during peaceful protest by the civil society at the DC office complex and consequent suspension of two employees namely Satya Bushan Teacher and Tilak Raj Forester without any enquiry citing their involvement in the protest and damage of property, the Federation claimed that the duo was not involved in any type of damage to the public or private property.
“We appeal to the District Administration Kishtwar to immediately revoke the suspension order of Satya Bushan and Tilak Raj within a week’s time positively and hold impartial enquiry besides action against those involved in the selective killings . Otherwise, we will be compelled to hold indefinite protest against the District Administration Kishtwar across the State,” the Federation said.
Those, who were present in the meeting, included Rattan Sharma, Pardeep Kumar, Shiv Dev Singh, Manjeet Singh , Neeraj Sharma, Kartar Chand, Radha Krishan and many others.
