JAMMU, Feb 20: Following alleged misbehaviour and manhandling of an Academic Arrangement teacher by Principal of Government Degree College, Mahanpur, both the parties have approached the higher authorities and lodged complaint against each other.
As per the complaint lodged by some faculty members of the college, the college Principal Dr Sangeeta Sudan allegedly slapped Dr Nishu, a female Academic Arrangement in Environment Sciences.
In her complaint, forwarded to Director Colleges and Nodal Principal, Government Degree Colleges, Jammu Division, the victim has attached a medical report by PHC Mahanpur, which mentions swelling over the right side of her face and advises rest for three days.
As a Librarian of the college, namely Nisha Bhagat, purportedly recorded video of the slapping incident in her mobile phone, the College Principal has sought explanation of the former.
Accusing the Librarian of inciting students, creating indiscipline and recording video without permission, the Principal has issued a notice asking the former to explain within two days as to why disciplinary action should not be sought against her for hatching a conspiracy and creating indiscipline in the college campus.
When contacted, Nodal Principal of Jammu Division Colleges, Dr S P Saraswat told the Excelsior that he has received complaints from both the sides and forwarded the same to higher authorities for further action.
