KATHUA, Jan 3: Observing that down-fall of the BJP has already been started after defeat of the Saffron Party in the recently held assembly elections of five state, senior Congress leader and Member of the Legislative Council, Thakur Balbir Singh today predicted that BJP will be wiped out in coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.
Addressing a meeting of party activists and newly elected Sarpanchs and Panchs at Billawar, Thr Balbir Singh said that falsehood and ‘Jumlebazi’ of BJP has been exposed because people have realized that during the last nearly five years BJP has done nothing except befooling the people by false promises.
Calling upon the people to teach BJP a lesson in the coming Assembly and Parliamentary polls in J&K, Singh said that that BJP has betrayed people of Jammu region for the lust of power. He said that Jammu region is worst victim of the corrupt and anti-people policies which were adopted by the BJP leaders when they were sharing power with the PDP.
BJP leaders have shamelessly bartered peoples aspirations for power, he said and exhorted the people to teach a lesson to the BJP in the polls.
Singh observed that coming elections are very crucial for the people of J&K in general and Jammu region in particular because this region is worst victim of the BJP’s false promises.
He reminded that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, people had voted for BJP within a hope that this party would solve their problems but unfortunately BJP leaders have wasted the historic mandate for petty personal interests.
Ridiculing BJP leaders for taking claims of initiating developmental activities, Singh said that all promising made by BJP leaders confined only on papers. He said BJP has betrayed people of Jammu region as nothing has been done to solve their day today problems.
