JAMMU, Sept 3: A self-styled ‘tantrik’ was today arrested for allegedly molesting a woman in Manwal area.
“An information was received that a self-styled ‘tantrik’ has allegedly molested a lady from Surinsar area on the pretext of treating from prolong illness and after committing the offence, he fled away”, a police official said.
A Special Investigation Team was constituted to investigate the matter, official said, adding, series of raids were conducted and the ‘tantrik’ identified as Charanjeet, son of Hari Chand of Dasmesh Nagar, was arrested along with his three aides.
A case stands registered in this regard with police station Jhajjar Kotli and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Manwal police post SI Suresh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Vikram Singh Manhas and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
