POONCH, Oct 4: In view of escalating tension and heavy shelling across the LoC in Sabjian sector and to remain in touch with affected residents of border belts, Member Legislative Assembly Shah Mohammad Tantary along with team of dedicated social activists paid visit in border belt of Sabjian, Gagrian and Gali Madan areas very much adjacent and heavily affected due to cross border shelling.
Tantary and his team met the local people who are more vulnerable to conflict and listened to their grievances.
During his interaction, the locals expressed their reluctance to leave their native places as agriculture season is in full bloom and they could not afford to vacate or leave in advance their homes by leaving behind their livestock.
While speaking to the people, MLA said that we are aware of the fact that crop is ready to reap in these days, so no one can force you to leave from your homes and leave your livestock which is source of livelihood to majority of people.
He said administration has made elaborate arrangements of necessities of life in rehabilitation camps as a step of precautionary and safety measures. He advised the people not to be afraid of as all are with them in any coming difficulties and be in touch with administration for their safety and security.
