REASI, June 5: Talwara migrants under the banner of Talwara Migrant Action Committee (TMAC) today staged a protest demonstration in front of Deputy Commissioner’s Reasi office against non-implementation of High Court orders to pay relief to them.
They raised slogans against State Government for its alleged failure to grant them relief package at par with Kashmiri migrants as per the directions of the Court.
They alleged that they were denied the justice while the relief for Kashmiri migrants has been revised a number of times till date.
“Kashmiri migrants have been allotted land and houses but the Jammu Migrants are completely ignored by the State Government which speaks about the volume of discrimination with the region’ the protesters alleged.
Even after the directions of the High Court, to release the relief for the Talwara migrants within three months, the State administration has done nothing in this regard and the Talwara migrants are still suffering, a TMAC protestor said.
