MLA sanctions Rs 10 lakh for DC’s camp office at Katra

JAMMU, June 5: MLA Reasi Baldev Raj Sharma today sanctioned an amount of Rs 10 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for construction of camp office of Deputy Commissioner at Katra.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary had formulated a proposal for construction and establishment of three camp offices at Mahore, Arnas and Katra for taking administration to local level and for better service delivery.
Accordingly a proposal was mooted before the Government for sanction of funds. However, keeping in view the urgency of public grievance redressal the DC proposed all the MLAs/MLCs/MP for supporting the institutional proposal for early establishment of camp office.
Appreciating the efforts and proposal submitted by the DC, MLA Reasi Baldev Raj Sharma placed Rs 10 lakh at the disposal of DC for establishment of camp office at Katra. The MLA hoped that public delivery system will see huge improvement once the DC office is established at Katra.
He has also extended support to the Deputy Commissioner for various initiatives taken by him recently for development in the area which include establishment of Kendriya Vidyalya, SRTC Depot, Library, Solid Waste Management and Infrastructure.
Terming the upcoming public service delivery centre at Reasi as a model for State the MLA hoped that it will be a great relief for the people and also asked for opening same in Katra and Pouni.
