URI, June 23: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Taj Mohi-ud-Din conducted a series of public contact meetings during the last two days at Madiyan, Kamalkote, Jabda, Shahdra, Kunji Brajala, Sarai Bandi and other areas of the constituency.
Addressing the people at these places, the Minister said Government fashioned its development initiative in such a manner that the far flung and remote areas got duly reflected in its priority list. He said political executives and senior Government functionaries regularly visit these areas to ascertain the development needs and factor them in the developmental paradigm of the State.
During the visit, the Minister conducted public durbars at these places and sought feedback from the people about the facilities and services provided to them by the Government. During these public durbars, people brought their problems into the notice of the Minister who redressed them on the spot in presence of the officers accompanying him.
Mr. Taj said the present Government has worked hard to ameliorate the lot of people particularly those living below poverty line, in far flung areas and those belonging to weaker sections of society for whom many schemes and programmes are in vogue.
