SHOPIAN, Feb 6: A symposium on youth empowerment was organized at Circuit House Shopian, today.
Brigadier A Pramod Kumar YSM along with Bashir Ahmed Bhat DC Shopian , SSP Altaf Khan, SP Tejender Singh, head of district administration and Army senior officers had attended the symposium.
During the symposium all the intellectual delivered speech on various topics mainly focusing on youth empowerment. The symposium started with opening address by Col RS Bazad, SM, CO 44 RR (Rajput) was followed up by speech given by various intellectual such as quality of education and higher studies prospects in Valley, importance of girls education in development of family, Imparting social and cultural values in youth, Role of media in empowering the youth, Mitigation of psy impact of violence, Social responsibility of youth, Tourism prospects, Peace and tranquility, a pre requisite for growth of youth in society.
DC Shopian said that the tourism potential is tremendous in the district and it can give better job opportunities to the youth. The symposium was culminated by momento distribution by Brig A Pramod Kumar, YSM Commander 12 Sect RR to all the intellectuals and officials. There was great exchange of views and road to attain the singular aim of empowering youth.
A common platform where district administration heads of all department, police, army and intellectuals got together to present views and means of empowering youth.
