SWWA deputation submits memo to Sheep Husbandry Secretary

JAMMU, Dec 26: A deputation of All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers’ Association (SWWA), Jammu today met Secretary, Animal/Sheep Husbandry Department, J&K Government, and submitted a reminder of charter of demands.
The deputation led by Jammu province association president, Ashok Badyal, reminded the Secretary of a memorandum submitted already to him and apprised him of various demands and problems of the employees.
The main demands submitted in the memorandum were clearance of pending time bound promotion cases of all the non-gazetted field staff of the department who have not been deputed in the Sheep Farms by giving one time relaxation in the norms of the Government Order No 187 ASH of 2015 dated 29-12-2015 and ownership rights of Government rams to the breeders to whom the rams are issued on permanent basis after getting 50% cost of the ram after they retain the ram continuously for 3 years.
Other demands like timely procurement of vaccines, two and a half days extra pay for the employees working in Sheep breeding farms round the clock, providing better living conditions to the staff at all the Sheep breeding farms, enhancement of rent of sheep centers and filling up of the vacant posts in various cadres in the department after clearance of DPC.
The Secretary gave a patient hearing to the deputation ad assured for an early redressal of the genuine grievances of the employees. Other members accompanying the deputation were Narinder Singh, Ashish Sharma, Banarsi Lal, Sagar Chand and Abdul Manan Malik.
