SVEEP event held in Billawar

Kathua, Apr 08: In an effort to promote active participation in the democratic process, a Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) event was organized in Billawar today. The event witnessed the collective efforts of the POSHAN Projects, which spearheaded various awareness campaigns at the grassroots level.
Held at the panchayat level the event, saw the active involvement of Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) also known as Sanginis, and Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) or Sahayikas. These frontline workers played a pivotal role in disseminating crucial information and motivating women to ensure their maximum participation in the upcoming electoral process.
Through a series of engaging initiatives, including informative & interactive sessions and door-to-door campaigns, the AWWs and AWHs diligently educated and encouraged women to exercise their right to vote on April 19. Their efforts were met with resounding enthusiasm and commitment from the community, reflecting a collective determination to uphold the democratic values of the nation.
Speaking about the event, ARO 64-Billawar AC expressed gratitude for the unwavering dedication of the AWWs and AWHs in driving voter awareness initiatives. “The success of this SVEEP event underscores the importance of grassroots mobilization in fostering a vibrant and inclusive electoral process. We commend the efforts of the Sanginis and Sahayikas for their tireless commitment to empowering women and ensuring their active participation in shaping the future of our democracy,” he said.
