SRINAGAR: Suspected militants shot at and critically wounded two civilians in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Saturday night, a police spokesman said.
He said gunmen fired at two persons identified as Sheraz Ahmad Malik and Aijaz Ahmad Mir at village Trenz in Shopian district. The injured were rushed to hospital, from where they were referred to Srinagar, he said.
However, the gunmen managed to escape after the incident under the cover of darkness. Security forces have launched investigation, official source said. (AGENCIES)
