Supported Congress on promise of fulfilling public aspirations: Sena

JAMMU, Apr 3: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit has taken assurance from Congress candidates in exchange for support in Lok Sabha elections that on winning they will fulfill public aspirations.
In a press conference here today Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said as per instructions of his party high command, Shiv Sena will leave no stone unturned to ensure the victory of Congress candidates Raman Bhalla and Ch Lal Singh in upcoming LS polls.
Sahni said that both these candidates of Congress have been made aware of the demands like full Statehood to J&K, increase in pension to elders, widows and physically disabled persons, Jammu DD Channel, improving health facilities and setting up trauma centres equipped with facilities at district level, restoration of concession to elders and women on railway travels, starting metro project, unemployment allowance for educated youth, regularization of daily wagers, safe return of KPs etc.
The Shiv Sena leader has appealed to the people to teach a lesson to those who cheated and betrayed public.
Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chhibber; general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Sanjeev Kohli and president Kamghar, Raj Singh were also present in the press conference.
