JAMMU, Aug 1: BJP State spokesperson, Prof. Virender Gupta called upon all the political parties of the country, including those of Jammu and Kashmir to extend their whole hearted support to the Government of India, in its fight against the separatists and Pakistan sponsored terrorists who have caused enormous destruction in the Valley.
The Modi Government at the Centre is determined to fight a decisive battle against the separatists and those who try to destabilise India. He said the recent crusade started by the NIA and the security forces to eliminate the terrorists, block the money laundering and expose those involved in hawala money transactions which is being used to destroy school buildings, finance the stone pelters and other terrorist groups engaged in attacking security forces, spreading and instigating fundamentalism and creating disturbances in the Valley.
The spokesperson said that the present pro-active policy of the Government against terrorism and the anti-national forces has resulted in the improvement of the situation to some extent and it is aimed to break both neck and back of those elements who are challenging the integrity as well as sovereignty of the country.
He said that the opposition parties should give halt to the criticism of the Government and allow the Government and security forces to do their job so that a permanent peace and tranquillity are brought in the Valley. All the factors and elements those help the separatist forces including the hawala money transaction to the terrorist and separatist groups need to be stopped, even though that brings inconvenience or loss to someone financially or politically.
He said that the cross border trade needs to be stopped, as it is one of the sources of terrorism funding.
He said that the Kashmir issue has always remained a headache for the country since the accession of Jammu & Kashmir State to India. The Congress party, though it is responsible for its creation, has remained unsuccessful to find the way out. The political parties of the State have contributed to make the problem more and more complicated. He added that in the present scenario the situation has great potential to create a catastrophe in the Valley that is presently being witnessed in Syria, Iraq and in some other Gulf countries. The State spokesperson, therefore, call upon all the nationalist forces to support the present Government to resolve the issue once for all.
