JAMMU, Dec 10: Stating that people had enough dose of mis-governance in the State for last six years, Vikram Malhotra, general secretary Pradesh Congress and contesting candidate from Jammu East today said that people have realized that they have to vote for someone who can address their issues and fulfill their expectations.
Addressing public meetings at Peer Mitha, Moti Bazar, Prem Nahar and Christian Colony in Jammu East today, Mr Vikram said for the resolution of basic issues the people need attention of an MLA or their leader. The people want development, employment opportunities, better infrastructure and other basic requirements like adequate water and power supply.
Mr Malhotra said that those banking upon leadership sitting at the capital at the helm of affairs of the country, know that they do not have even a single person here who can be described as a popular leader among the masses. He also said that on the other hand, other parties like NC and PDP too, have leadership crisis and thus the latter had to para-drop a candidate with no political background. The NC candidate too, has no history of carrying out development activity in this constituency. Vikram said that he will strive for their rights and address their day-to-day problems, if elected to power.
He added that he had already carried out development works in this constituency, while in the past; the elected representatives had done nothing for the developing of this segment. He is working actively in Jammu East constituency for the last four years and spent crores for the development of eleven wards on Jammu East constituency, Mr Malhotra claimed.
