NEW DELHI: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday left for Jammu and Kashmir to assess security situation arising in the wake of the terror attack on Sunjwan Army Camp in Jammu, sources in the Defence establishment said.
Five Army personnel attained martyrdom in the attack, while 11 people were injured, including three civilians.
A civilian was also killed by the Jaish-e-Mohammad operatives, while three militants were also neutralised. On Saturday morning, a group of heavily armed men struck the sprawling camp of the 36 brigade of the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. (AGENCIES)
