MENDHAR, Jan 12: Tata Sumo operators today held protest demonstration against the GREF authorities for not repairing BG-Mendhar and Dhar Galoon-Basuni roads which have turned into worst condition. The Sumo operators from Mendhar area today assembled near BG and held protest demonstration against the GREF authorities. They were shouting slogans against the concerned GREF officials for not properly maintaining 23 kms BG-Mendhar and 8 kms long Dhar Galoon-Basuni roads. They alleged that entire road was in worst condition. Entire road surface has broken and it takes double time to reach the destination. The vehicles condition has also affected with the worst ever condition of the road. They demanded intervention of Deputy Commissioner Poonch in this regard. They warned to block Jammu-Poonch highway to lodge strong protest if the authorities failed to take any action in this regard within four days.
