BANIHAL, Jan 12: In order to review post- snow fall situation in Banihal constituency, the Minister of State for Power and Technical Education, Vikar Rasool Wani, who is also local MLA, today held public darbar at his Banihal residence to hear public grievances.
Various deputations from different areas of his constituency met him and apprised him about their demands. A deputation of Mahu Mangith and Khari led by Sarpanch Gul Mohammad and Mohammad Sadiq demanded regular power supply, whereas a deputation of Ukerhal Phagmullah led by Jay Singh, Ab Gani and Panchi Ram demanded improvement in LT network in the area
Some deputationists sought Minister’s personal intervention with regard to snow clearance from inner roads of Banihal constituency.
They also submitted memorandum of demands seeking creation of new administrative units in various leftover areas.
After hearing the public issues highlighted by various deputations of Mahu Mangith, Neel Khari, Shagan, Senabati, Pagal, Bankoot, Ukerhal and Chamalwas, Vikar Rasool assured that immediate steps would be taken in early restoration of damaged power system, adding that special teams have been constituted to redress grievances of the people. He said funds have been released for repairing of Receiving Station, Ramsu to improve power supply position in the area.
