JAMMU, Nov 13: Sukrala Devi Jal Yatra was taken out here today.
Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, Floriculture and Parks Priya Sethi also attended the Sukrala Devi Jal Yatra. Vice-President BJP Yudhvir Sethi and large number of devotees joined the religious yatra.
The yatra was organised by Sukrala Devi Seva Dal as part of 5 day event of Murti Sthapna function at Sukrala Mata Mandir, Purani Mandi.
The yatra started from Purani Mandi and after passing through Link Road, Peer Mitha and other parts of the old city culminated at Peer Kho.
Priya and Yudhvir Sethi also jointly participated in the yagna along with other devotees.
While commenting on the pluralistic culture of the city, Yudhvir said that Jammu which is famous as City of Temples has age old history of harmonious living and even during recent turbulent times in the State the city has been an example of mutual co-existence.
He appealed to the people to come and join the event in large numbers to mark the idol installation.
Among others present were Narender Jamwal, President Sukrala Seva Dal, Rakesh Sharma, Chairman, Amit Singh Jamwal, General Secretary, Parveen Sharma Vice-President, Ajay Sethi, Sunil Baru, Brij Mohan Sunil Sharma, Anil Masoom, Sudhir Anand, Sharda, Neeru, Surinder Savita, Kiran and Geeta.
