Sugar ends steady in thin trading

NEW DELHI, Aug 16:  Sugar prices settled steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered demand amid restricted supplies.
Marketmen said scattered buying support driven by the festive season helped sugar prices to remain steady at previous levels.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal)
Sugar retail markets – Rs 36.00-38.00 per kg.
Sugar ready: M-30 (Rs 3,270-3,470); S-30(Rs 3,260-3,460).
Mill delivery: M-30 (Rs 3,120-3,325); S-30 (Rs 3,100-3,305).
Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana (Rs 3,200); Kinnoni (Rs 3,325); Asmoli (Rs 3,285); Dorala (Rs 3,190); Budhana (Rs 3,200); Thanabhavan (Rs 3,190); Dhanora (Rs 3,170); Simbholi (Rs 3,320); Modi Nagar (Rs 3,170); Khatuli (Rs 3,280); Dhampur (Rs 3,170); Ramala (Rs 3,150); Bulandshahr (Rs 3,160); Anupshahr (Rs 3,130); Baghpat (Rs 3,160); Morna (Rs 3,150); Sakoti (Rs 3,170); Chandpur (Rs 3,145) and Nazibabad (Rs 3,140).
