CHENANI, Mar 31: Accusing the successive Governments of neglecting Chenani, Sudhmahadev and the adjoining spots, BJP candidate for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha Constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today, the area being out of sight for the Kashmir-centric leadership, never received its due despite being centrally located.
He was on a day long campaign in the upper reaches of Chenani across Gap, Sarar, Sudhmahadev, Mantalai, Laati and the surrounding Panchayats.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the interior terrains of Chenani Assembly Constituency are still unapproachable and promised taking up proposal for an all-weather road under Vaypayee’s Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yogna (PMGSY) when Narendra Modi takes over as the Prime Minister in New Delhi.
Chenani and its suburbs have tremendous tourist potential which has been deliberately ignored by Congress and its allies, alleged Dr Jitendra Singh. The health sector is totally under-developed and even ordinary dispensaries are not available in highly populated areas even as the Union Health Minister is casually announcing  opening up of Medical Colleges at random, he added.
Accusing Congress leadership of dividing the society on communal lines, Dr Jitendra Singh said, it was the Congress led Govt in the State which had triggered the Amarnath agitation in 2008 and again it connived with National Conference to instigate communal riots against minority community in Kishtwar in 2013.
A vote for Narendra Modi will not only ensure development for the community but also ensure protection of minorities in the region, said Dr Jitendra Singh and added, a vote for Modi is vote for survival and dignity of the people suffering from injustice in the hands of Kashmir-centric leadership.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, the Congress rule in State has been a long saga of scams with 25000 crore Roshni scam on the top of the list.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, Narendra Modi is definitely going to be the next Prime Minister of India and in the tally of 272+ seats for BJP, one of them will be from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Constituency.
