“In the month of July our semester-I was going on and few papers were scheduled in the month of August, however, due to the unavoidable circumstances, that could not materialize-all in all our previous semester is yet to be cleared,” a student said.
He added that, now when they went back to their respective colleges they came to know that the exam schedule for the next semester has been put out by the University authorities. “We came to know by virtue of a notification that from December 16, the examinations will be held for the next semester,” another student said.
The students said that they have not prepared for the examination and will not able to appear in the exams. “How can we even write in the exams, we have not studied anything as the colleges have remained shut since August,” the students belonging to semester-1st, 2nd and 5th said.
The protesting students demanded that the administration should defer the examination till March so that we can get ample time for the preparations. “The duration of one semester is six months, we are not demanding six months, not even 4, at least, they can give us three so that we can prepare for the examinations,” they said, demanding that their semester examinations should be held in March next year.
