Students accuse KU of delaying results

Srinagar, July 6: The undergraduate students from various colleges accused Kashmir University of delaying their semester results.
The students of various Degree Colleges alleged that the University was showing dilly dallying approach towards the declaration of their 4th-semester results.
Faizan Ahmad, a Mass Communication student at Government Degree College Baramulla, lamented that the students have been waiting for the declaration of their 4th semester results for last seven months. “I fail to fathom reasons behind this inordinate delay,” he said, adding that last dates of provisional admissions for the post-graduation are approaching.
“Without the marks sheet of the fourth semester”, he said, their application forms would not be accepted. “We have been told to produce the marks sheets for the admissions. But if the University fails to declare results before 12th of July, which is the last date for the submission of application forms, we won’t be able to apply,” he added.
The students said they have approached the authorities several times but to no avail. “We have been asking them about our results but their answers are not satisfactory,” a student said.
Public Relations Officers, Kashmir University, Faheem Aslam, when contacted said the results would be formally declared in next week. He, however, claimed that the evaluated results were already available on the varsity website. “Students can login on their profiles and see the evaluated results. They can take a printout of their results and come to the university for attestation,” he said. “If any student is facing problems in doing so he can move in an application and we will provide him the results”, he added.
