All J&K Ayurvedic Congress holds meet, discusses issues

JAMMU, July 6: The working committee of All Jammu and Kashmir Ayurvedic Congress held meeting under the chairmanship of its State Patron Dr BR Sharma.
All District Presidents, Dr HN Patwari, Dr TR Gupta, Dr BD Gupta, Dr Kartar Singh, Dr PD Khajuria and Dr AK Choudhary participated in the meeting.
Various problems being faced by the rank and file of Ayurvedic professionals were discussed in the meeting and accordingly various resolutions were passed unanimously.
While speaking, Dr BR Sharma demanded immediate bifurcation of State level Directorate and establishment of provincial Directorates as recommended by State Finance Commission, provision and sanction of necessary technical staff for 134 single handed dispensaries, provision and sanction of teaching and non teaching staff for newly opened Government Ayurvedic Medical Colleges as recommended under Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) Act and provision and sanction of necessary staff for Panchakarma and Kshar Sutra units in Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu.
He also demanded provision and sanction of administrative staff for newly established districts, provision and sanction of staff for 26 Ayush units functioning in various allopathic institutions, provision and sanction of two posts of B Grade specialists for each district of the State, regularization of 61 newly opened dispensaries under district or state plan and immediate election for the board of Ayurvedic and Unani Medicine as stipulated under relevant provision of Jammu and Kashmir Ayurvedic and Unani Practitioners Act 1959.
