Sir,
Refer news item “State Motor Vehicle Act to be given more teeth’ DE April 26.
It is quite assuring that the State Government has waken up to hard reality of frequent accidents on roads which claim many precious lives every year.
The measures which the Minister for CAPD and Transport Ch Mohammad Ramzan has outlined during the review meeting of Transport Advisory Committee need to be given a serious thought by the concerned authorities.
These measures are the pressing need of the time and are aimed at streamlining the traffic system in the State which is presently too much chaotic.
Besides, it may also be added here that the fares charged by matadors are very high. They are not commensurate with the existing marketing trends in the State. The introduction of GPS in new vehicles is also a welcome move.
Yours etc….
Vinod Gupta,
