Srinagar, Dec 11: A woman was today injured after she was hit by a stray bullet that came down through the roof of her house in Woolina village of district Budgam.
The injured woman has been identified as Fatima wife of late Ghulam Rasool Rather. The bullet had hit her in the leg when she was present in her house.
She was taken to the District Hospital Budgam where she was given advanced treatment and was stated to be stable.
Locals said that some bullets came from the Srinagar International Airport side and fell down on roofs of their houses in the Woolina village. They also came out on roads to stage protest against the incident which they called “irresponsible.”
