Stone quarrying: Govt to study rehabilitation of affected persons

JAMMU, June 18: To study the issue of rehabilitation of the affected persons due to stone quarrying, the State Government has constituted a committee.
Headed by the Financial Commissioner Industries and Commerce Department, the three member committee will study the issues regarding rehabilitation of the affected persons due to stopping of operation of stone quarrying in the forest areas as well as in Kahcharai lands. It will submit report to the Government within a period of one month.
Other two members of the committee are; Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department and Secretary Forest Department.
