JAMMU: Reiterating Government’s commitment towards ensuring basic amenities for all, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today said that various initiatives are underway to strengthen public infrastructure and tangible results are visible on ground.
The Speaker said this while addressing a public meeting at Greater Kailash with large participation of locals from the area.
Kavinder Gupta said that requisite steps are being taken to strengthen public infrastructure and ensure availability of better facilities to the public of the area. He said multiple projects have been launched to improve the drainage systems in Gandhi Nagar Constituency to make sure that highest sanitation standards are achieved.
Speaker said “Rs. 136 Crore have been sanctioned for the construction of roads in Jammu region last year in which Rs. 42 Crore have been spent on improving road network in Gandhi Nagar constituency”.
Responding to the demands projected by the Greater Kailash Welfare Society, Speaker directed the concerned departments to take immediate steps to address the issues.
Among others who were present on the occasion includes President Greater Kailash Welfare Society, Vikram Singh Charak, General Secretary and Secretary of the society, Subhash Abrol and Rajan Mangotra, senior BJP leaders and residents of the area.
