JAMMU, Nov 5: Stephens College of Nursing (SCON) conducted second series of webinar on the theme ‘Health Care Delivery System in India’.
The webinar was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Muni Dhar, Principal SCON and Major Kotru, Administrator SCON.
Dr Kamal Saini (IGP Retd), Chairman SCON and Satvinder Saini, Director SIPS also spoke on the occasion.
Many participants from different institutions and universities attended the webinar.
A handout claimed that Stephens College is the first nursing college to organize such a webinar which commenced with the welcome address by Nancy Thakur, Nursing Tutor SCON followed by a speech by Muni Dhar, Principal SCON wherein she inspired everyone to remain healthy and fit.
Motive of conducting the webinar was to make the people aware about health care delivery system in India.
Eminent speakers of webinar were P. Vezumuni, Assistant Professor SCON and Dr Mehmooda Regu, Principal Alamdar College of Nursing International University for Science & Technology.
Addressing the webinar Vezumuni talked about challenges in India for health services to reach people at all levels through the health care delivery system and the comparison of India’s health care delivery system with developed country.
Dr Mehmooda Regu explained in detail about organizational structure at Central, State, District and Rural level of health care delivery system in India.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Shilpa Thakur, Nursing Tutor SCON.
The webinar was coordinated by Kavita Rana, SNA Incharge SCON.
All the participants were awarded with an e-certificate after the event.
The Webinar went smoothly with the support of Sahil Verma, Technical Expert while the faculty members and students of SCON also played a vital role in making the webinar a success.
Third series of the webinar will be conducted in December.
