JAMMU, Feb 22: A delegation of the employees of J&K Stationery and Office Supplies Department Employees Association led by its president Babu Hussian Malik called on Minister for Stationery & Printing Dr Manohar Lal Sharma and apprised him of various demands.
The delegation demanded reorganization of the Department and opening of stationery depots in the newly created districts viz Bandipora, Kulgam, Ganderbal, Shopian, Samba, Reasi, Kishtwar and Ramban.
It also demanded creation of posts of ministerial staff and executive staff in the newly created districts, amendment in SRO 365 regarding appointment /promotion of the employees of the Department by filling up the vacant posts of Deputy Superintendents in the district headquarters.
The Minster assured the delegation that all possible steps will be taken in regressing their demands.
The other members of the delegation included Seva Ram, Uday Singh Pathania, Veerji Koul, Dwarka Nath, Manjit Singh, Dalip Singh, Shafiq -ul-Rehman, Kuldeep Kumar, Jaswant Singh, Mohamed Hussain, Ram Krishan, S S Pathina, Shavinder Kumar, Dharamveer Singh, Amarjeet Singh, Arvind Kumar, Chandu Lal and Mohammed Ashraf.
