At this Chopra commented that if JMC General House can pass resolution of renaming University of Jammu and declaring holiday on birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, then why the House can’t pass resolution for Statehood restoration to Jammu and Kashmir.
Some more BJP Councillors including Surinder Chowdhary, Dinesh Gupta and others joined their party Councillors and asked Chopra if he can introduce resolution for getting back Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
