SRINAGAR, Apr 2: The State Taxes Department, Kashmir conducted surprise inspection at various business houses in the heart of Srinagar City and seized vital documents for scrutiny.
The inspection was conducted in the business premises of M/s 7-Days Restaurant and M/s Tawheed Medical Alamgari Bazar, M/s New Mughal Darbar, Bagh-i- Ali Mardan Khan and M/s Alba Retail (Favorit Store) by a team of State Taxes Department under supervision of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes (Adm & Enf), Kashmir.
The team comprising State Tax Officers, Mukhtar Ahmad, Aijaz Coudhary, Irfan Bhadur, Mohammad Muneer Ahmad, Sakhi Khan, Ghulam Mohiudin Malik and inspectors also seized vital documents for scrutiny from these premises.
The State Taxes Department advised the dealers to avoid using dishonest practices for evasion of tax and adhere to the provisions of the GST Act, 2017 and the rules framed there under, strictly in letter and spirit. Further, they advised them to issue GST invoices for all sales failing which they shall be penalized.
